Re: [GI] Sign up for projectors
Yeah, it was way too long in the making. I've been on the board since 2001 and I can't remember how many projector projects were started here and never got finished. They may go for $90 on ebay now but $250 or whatever I paid form the first production run was money well spent at the time. Yeah, here...

Re: Anyone Have H.I.D.'s On Their Cars?
I've been running HIDs in the first style of projectors since they came out. Amazing difference. They won't melt the plastic, but they do get hot. Enough to evaporate water, ha. I've got a set of bulbs in my Savanna 2500 work van, stock housings. No one ever flashes me, those housings almost have a ...

Cleaning the contacts in your disty cap and the rotor is a great idea too. I usually do it yearly. just use some 150 or so sandpaper.

Re: Keeping my projectors clean
Didn't have a problem with fog. But then again I opened mine up and painted them before I even installed them... I don't remember if I just put the lenses back on with some heat or if I used Hi-Temp silicone... I might have used the silicone, I hope I don't have to open them again. Damnit, I just th...

Re: Broke tip of key in ignition, need help badly
I had half my key break off in the cylinder last Christmas at the folk's place. I managed to deal with it with limited tools. The "rivet" looking bolts can be unscrewed with a small set of vice grips if you have 'em handy. I read that coping saw bit somewhere but couldn't get anywhere with...

Re: installing a ignition flopper from scratch. help?
Getting used to wiring up relays is essential if you're going to switch a high current stuff in your car. I'm not sure how many I have hooked up in the car or my van these days. I learned my lesson on that one a few years back when I bought some pos canadian tire foglights for the van on a whim, the...

Re: Clutch won't bleed
And we're done. Replaced all the guts of the master clutch cylinder and it bled in no time. After all the hassle I had before I wasn't convinced so I left it to gravity bleed over night, maybe a 1/4 of the reservoir drained at the most. Bled it some more so be safe and away we go. That's gotta be th...

Re: Cool Junk Yard Find
I've got one of those ss bezels. I'm not using it anymore... it might have been and ebay find. Maybe at least 8 years ago.
Anyone want it? pm and I'll let it go for the shipping cost.

Re: Clutch won't bleed
The inner cylinder looked just fine on both. So it shouldn't be an issue. I'll have to try raising the car. didn't think of that. I've got the new seals, but it's been pretty damn cold around here. Maybe if I get a chance tomorrow before then sun goes down I might try swapping them out.

Re: Clutch won't bleed
Well. I ordered a seal kit for the master this morning. I'm going to give the rebuild a whirl the next time it's mild out. I had to yank the car out of our washbay and 50 meters across the parking lot to get it outa the way. I don't really wanna try to move it back if I don't have to. Hopefully the ...

Re: Clutch won't bleed
I've got a phoenix injector v-12. When I used it to try pulling the fluid though the bleed screw it'd work fine for a bit, then it'd seem to pull more and more air through, to the point of air locking the tool. While pumping the clutch didn't seem to produce nearly as much air, when it actually move...

Re: Clutch won't bleed
That seems to be the way it's going. But it really doesn't make any sense to me. I've had both cylinders apart. I know the id of all the lines. If I pull out 8oz of fluid bleeding it that should be more than the sysyem holds. I also know that after I pulled that much fluid through it still didn't wo...
