Re: Hesitation when giving it too much gas.
And now I remember why I love this community so much :D You guys are amazing. I've recently replaced spark plugs and wires, so I don't think that's the issue. I'll try the timing and the PCV valve, see if that does anything. I haven't washed the engine bay in recent memory, so I don't believe the wa...

Hesitation when giving it too much gas.
My MX-3 seems to be having some weird problems lately.. Whenever I'm driving the car and it's revving anywhere under 2500rpm, if I apply slightly too much pressure to the gas pedal, the engine just doesn't want to go. It makes a sputtering noise, and actually starts to slow down, as if it's not prod...

My favorite part is definitely the spoiler being held on by what looks awfully similar to a coat hanger.

I don't know what the hell you were doing, but you can get the instrument cluster out with like 6 screws... You don't have to touch any of the rest of the dash.

Re: Might get a GS
The prices for these cars differ a lot depending on where your located. Just in Canada, I know that you can get an MX3 for about a grand less on average in the east rather than the west. Just keep that in mind when you consider pricing. If there's nothing else around thats nearly that cheap, it migh...

$135/month for an RS. And I have no accidents. Stupid insurance companies.

I always stay on the safe side and go with 14V. Forward voltage is anywhere from 3.2 to 3.6 depending on the LED, and forward current is around 25mA, depending on the LED. When you buy the LEDs, you'll get this information along with them, its not something that can be easily calculated.

They're actually mounted on the outside of the lens. I was expecting a giant circle in the middle of the car, but it actually lights up the entire interior really nicely.

Re: New Dome Light
That's what I did originally, and I really liked the look, but I wanted something different. The yellowed plastic over the light looked reaaaally bad.

I was going to take some pictures of the light, but I can't find my camera at the moment. Until I can grab it, here's a little circuit diagram of how it's laid out. No circuit board, just wired in the LEDs as you see. You need a calculator like this to figure out the resistor values. I grab my LEDs ...

Re: Pioneer crap amps?
10 gauge seeems awfully small in my opinion, but if your other amp was fine with it, then I wouldn't worry about that too much...
You really shouldn't be cranking the gain to max - causes the subs to be distorted and can burn out the voice coils.

They're white, I'm not entirely sure why the picture looks blue. Puts out considerably more light than stock, and its a cool white, not that ugly beige-ish color. Definately prefer it over stock.

Interior trim was just ripping off the old fabric and slapping on some fabric adhesive, but I'm really not satisfied with the results. The thickness of the fabric I used (black polyester felt) makes it pretty hard to manipulate to follow the flow of the panel. I'm not sure if I didn't apply the fabr...

Bump.
Does anybody know if you can head down to the junkyard and rip the actuators out of other cars? Are they all compatible (with modifications, of course), or does each manufacturer have a completely different setup?

Fowljesse - thanks :) Daninski - That was my original plan, actually. The reason I bought the carbon fiber was to eventually work up to doing the door inserts. It might still happen one day, but I'm not entirely sure I'd like the look of it. I grabbed a spare door panel in excellent condition from t...
