Uhhh... before even thinking about buying a replacement K8 engine, you'll want to look into the KL-ZE. There's a ton of info in the V6 FAQ, and pretty much everywhere else that you look. If you just buy the replacement K8 without finding out anything about the KL-ZE, you will want to gouge your eye...

BAH! get rid of that automatic before it craps out on you. my 3 had two rebuilt automatic trannies. of course, that was paid for by its previous owner. after the second blowout, he decided hell with it and i basically got it for a steal!
