Re: weight difference

Gro Harlem did you not click on the link that i put up theres pics of the 2.5 crank beside the 1.8l and you can see how much bigger the counter weights are. Have you seen the k8 rods beside the kl. The kl is almost twice as thick and has a larger journal(kl-82mm,k8-73mm) pluss larger pin. And its a ...

Re: weight difference

well im guessing you have never seen inside of a k series block. All the block are the from the same mold they are an opean design block meaning that its not a hunk of metal that they just bore holes in. Its one big opean area that they put sleaves and walls in so the only materal that they do remov...

Re: weight difference

the canks alone are 6lbs different, the k8 being 30lbs kl-36lbs. know the pistons are heaver, rods are heaver and the bare block is heaver. The bore is bigger so you need larger iron sleaves and larger retaning walls. And we all know the fly wheel is heaver so i would say 30lbs is on the light side....

Re: ok....I NEED PERFORMANCE AXLES

i think he has other problems there if he keeps going throw axles(badly put togethore, worn out part if rebuilt or put in wrong or somthing). Its not from to much power he would be snapping k8 rods left and right before you would even come close to baking the axles. Stock mx3 axles have been proven t...

Re: do i need new low resis. wires for platnium 4 plugs??

ok im no expert on this but electricity travels the path of lest resistant so then its only going to travel across the plug at one point at any given time so have 4 there is only really going to cause conflict and have a bunch of weaker sparks rather then one strong one. But that's just my opinion
