most cars lose 20% from crank to the wheels. depending on transmission gearing and oils and especially between a freshly rebuilt engine and a well broken in one. with a freshly rebuilt engine you may lose more because the bearings are tighter, and with a broken in engine there loose not in a bad way...

call you local junk yard, it should only be around 75$ and when you get it if you can replace the seals and re grease it. but just check it first. if you can spin the actuall steering shaft from lock to lock no problem wit ah pair of visegrips or locking plyers your golden

haha i sanded mine, painted em black, took an abreasive die grinding pad ( one of the brown ones. dont rememebr what grit) and clieaned the paint off the outter and inner lips and cleared em wit ha spray bomb.

so i got creative at work and redid a couple of the stock gs rims. gonna use em for when i take my car to the track to see waht it does
