Re: Swaping your internal coil disributor for a remote style
The Toyota COPs are running strong for alot of Miatas. I haven't heard of any failing yet. Braineack isn't working with MX3s so It's unlikely you'll find a guide for COPs on the MX3. -IF- I do the conversion to my 3 I'll let you guys know how.
back to work.

Re: Swaping your internal coil disributor for a remote style
Just an update... The conversion to the single coil setup is still on my 3 and working flawlessly. -IF- the ECU was the same as the Miata (might be able to swap?) you could drive the Toyota 1ZZ-FE coil-over-plug setup that I came up with for my Miata. The thread for that conversion is on the miatatu...

Re: Resurfacing a fidanza
Hi guys, You dont have to rebalance flywheels when changing the friction surface. I also don't recommending machining the friction surface. Every time you machine it you increase the step height of the flywheel which actually reduces the effective pressure plate load. I'll agree to the first part u...

AEM FIC (and my opinions)
(Copied from my mt.net post) I finally got an FIC wired up in my MX3. The 3 has a BP engine swap now and is boosted with the BP26 turbo setup. I said I'd post my opinion of it when I had a chance. So here it is. Compaired to the EMS, the FIC is harder to work with imo. For example. To change values ...

Re: Spyder Halo Projector Headlights for Your Mx3! Coming Soon..
For what their going to cost I wouldn't want to do anything to them. If I have the time to modify it, I have the time to make my own. I'd want them in black as well.

Re: BF (B6 you guys call it) ECU will run a BP.
Just to update:
Still running days later, daily driven, no CEL. I can feel o2 feedback sweeping so it's in closed loop. Turbo is here and I'll be installing some 440 injectors and the FIC soon. Finally no more airflow sensor.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
(I should put this in my build thread)

Re: Oil fittinng question
which engine is that? I have an aluminum pan on the bp. It's easy enough to remove I'll probably pull it to tap anyways. I was going to go the 'blow gun in the breather' route to drill it.

Re: Resurfacing a fidanza
Tell them you have an aftermarket aluminum flywheel with a replacable friction surface that is worn that you plan on replacing. You would then like the balance checked and rebalanced if necessary.

The airflow wire switch will cut the pump as soon as the key is released.

Re: Resurfacing a fidanza
Nope. Machine shops that handle automotive machining services can. The non-automotive machine shop doesn't have the equipment to do it. I know because I had to pay an extra $40 to have one make a custom hub to bolt a flywheel in the lathe to be lightened.WhiteFinish wrote:(any machineshop can do this?)
