Re: Need help selecting a transmission to be used in a sand-
To go on... I looked into swapping in a D16 or something but like the Honda Civic suspensions uses a upper control arm and it would take alot of fab work to the frame to make mounts for it. Also, the Honda engine is on the drivers side which screws up my center of gravity. All Mazda parts just seem ...

Need help selecting a transmission to be used in a sand-rail
Long story short... I impulsively bought a street legal 2-seat sand-rail on a Michigan trip. It currently has a 1.6L Ford EXP engine/trans in it. Whoever set this rear suspension was/is a f'in moron. The camber was so far off it was undrivable. I had to move the lower control arm mount out about 2&q...

It's by Sammies hot dogs on 83 near Grand Ave. I'm in Michigan until the 16th but maybe shoot me an email...

[FS] BP 8.6cr Wisecos, hbeam rods, block, crank
I'm not finishing my Miata build any time soon so I'm selling off the parts I've gathered. Wiseco 8.5-8.8cr .040" pistons. $350 (one ring set needs to be replaced due to my builder mis-reading the gap specs. Ring set is $32 at Summit. Part: 8400xx) Belfab 4340 H-beam rods. $325 http://www.belfa...

Re: Swaping your internal coil disributor for a remote style
Not in my opinion. I used to run the MSD in my Monza back in the day and I didn't notice any improvement in power, driveability, or miliage. MSD is Multiple Spark Discharge. It fired multiple times for each pulse from the stock ignitor. How many sparks does it take to ignite the mixture? One. What i...

Re: Swaping your internal coil disributor for a remote style
If you wanted to fire the single coil with an MSD box go for it. The single coil setup is a 2 wire coil so MSD wiring should be fairly simple. Don't waste your money on MSD though. The single coil with seperate distributor and OEM 7mm wires fires 12psi on a .032" gap without a miss. Buy the thi...

Re: Lazzer's MX3 "novelty turbo" build thread
I have an extra B6 manifold if someone can use it. Shoot me a PM/offer. I don't think I have any extra turbos. I'll have to look around. I thought I had a vj-14 somewhere. The downpipe 'housing' can be used off the probe. The downpipe itself can also come from the probe but you'll have to shorten th...
