Re: looking for dohc ecu wiring diagram
My Miata runs then EMS. Love it.
The FIC is already being a pain in the a-- and it's not even in the car.

Re: looking for dohc ecu wiring diagram
I'm fairly sure you can eliminate the maf with the fic. I'll let you know.

Re: looking for dohc ecu wiring diagram
Hey RS. I finally got the FIC for my MX3. Did yuo run into any issues I need to watch for?

Water/meth injected or breaking the laws of thermal dynamics. Whichever you want to go with.

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
25psi with 9.5+:1 will ignite under compression pressures. It's just too much air in too little space creating tempature rise and ignition. It doesnt matter how much ignition timing you run or not at that point. Shut off the ignition system at 30psi at 9.5 and I bet you stay running long enough to t...

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
Ford probe injectors work on my '94 but open-loop runs a bit rich. It's all in the engine management. Do you plan to run something worth a $hit or a fpr? The Capri or 323 manifold fits. The vj-11 and vj-14 both bolt up. The vj-14 off the Capri will not need the wg mods. I'm running 8psi with no engi...

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
No? I thought the mx3, 626, mx6, probe, and 323 all had the same engine bay.

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
ford probe manifolds will not bolt up to a 1.6 or a 1.8 B series engine. The turbo from a probe will work with minor modifications to the wastegate bracket and arm.
Edit - I think the whole drivetrain can be bolted in though.

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
I found an equation to figure out effective compression from boost. ((boost psi / 14.7) + 1) x motor compression = effective compression. In my case 9.1:1 @ 15psi = 18.385:1 an example 9.5:1 @ 15psi = 19.193:1 I'm trying to find the math to calculate compression temps. That way we can compair compre...

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
This information is from KB Pistons. I found it interesting enough to post. These are recomended ratios for n/a engines. Compression Ratio as a term sounds very descriptive. Compression ratio by itself, however, is like torque without RPM or tire diameter without a gear ratio. Compression ratio is o...

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
I'm running 15psi on my other car with 9.1:1 and an ems. I know how much timing I have to pull and fuel to add to keep it happy. I bought 8.5 pistons for the new build. There's always a way to do it but there are ways to do it right. ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
I have a B6D and the Capri mani bolted right up. 9.5:1 is to high for boost and explains the massive detonation at only 6psi. Does the Capri B6x have oil squirters?

Gotcha. That's the engine I grabbed this setup off of. I should go back to the junkyard one of these days and grab the block.

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
The Mazda replacement rod for Miata is a MX3 rod now. So all in all there are 3 rods for these engines right? In order of strength. 323 GTX, Miata, MX3.
So what you are saying is you have a "B6T" from a turbo Capri?
