Re: Quick Starter Question

well, today didn't really have much time to mess with it, but i went out and tried to start it, and it clicked just a couple of times. As Aston said, I think it may be the battery. I am going to try another battery and will let you all know whats up. Thanks. ;)

Quick Starter Question

My car died today, and when i turn the key, there is nothing, no clicks nothing. I think it may be the starter. I can push start it, but it will not start on its own. its a K8 with mtx swap. Will the starter from the atx interchange or no?? Thanks in advanced.

Re: no heat

It could be that your heater core is clogged. When moving you may just be getting heat from the engine bay coming through the firewall somewhere. Try taking out the core, and having it blown out. Just a thought. :D

From my experience, doing a motor swap is very easy. If you have just the smallest hinkling of knowledge about cars, you can do the motor swap yourself. Don't pay someone for something that you can do yourself... If you have to, Take pics of the engine before you pull it. That way you can look at th...

Coolant Leak???

Is there anything there that could have cracked? Anyone else have this problem? When i did the atx to mtx swap i did not change o...

When i did the atx to mtx swap, i just bypassed my switch. If you cut them and splice them together, that will bypass them, and viola, no more neutral safety switch......

I had a problem with the HEI mod with an external coil. Did you keep the three pin plug, or did you cut it off? Apparently it has to be cut off and wired straight to the Ignitor. Don't know if this helps, but just thought that I would add.

Okay still working at this.

I ahve done the HEI mod, and still am not getting a spark. I have everything hooked up per the worklog. One thing I did not understand is should the 3 pin plug still be hooked to the disty or not? I think my disty went bad. But doing this mod should make it work, right???

okay still no progress...... got a couple of quick dumb questions..... 1. Is there more to resetting the ecu than just taking the neg. cable off the battery??? 2. I am trying to avoid buying a new disty. I did the HEI mod, and still no fire. If I put the external coil on it, will that make the disty...
