Good question. I'm looking for a good spot for the negative as well. Positive does go to the starter yes. And the starter is already grounded so don't run a negative wire to it.

Double check your fuel lines. Make sure your sending line is pumping into the correct fuel rail. I had this problem jinx me for over an hour once. I if i remember correct the sending line should be connected to the rail closest to the firewall. Hope this helps.

Yeah. I've just been bouncing on a breaker bar for like 10 minutes. I'm 160lbs and i was literally jumping on the breaker. No effect. The hub nuts are rounded now, they were so rusted in the first place that chunks were coming off them. Is there an alternative? Like removing the tie rod and strut to...

HELLPPP!!! Unstake hub nut?

I can't seem to unstake the hub nut. I'm supposed to pound it towards the crimped (indented) end? How do you know when it's unstaked. I've been mashing on that thing with an air chisel for like a half an hour. I'm warping the metal and there's still no effect. Can anyone help?

Hmm... I see. Alright you convinced me. About how many hours of work do you estimate it will be for removal with air tools? Also, do you think with the age of the car is it an absolute must to replace the engine mounts with tougher ones from corksport? I'm putting in a KLZE with a ACT Stage 2 clutch...

Use the book specs and procedures. I made a horrible mistake by not using it. I cracked 2 intake cams because I wasn't careful enough. And make sure you use some nice grease on the bearings.

Any idea on how far the shaft goes into the engine? The car has 154K on it and I'm pretty sure I'm going to run into a lot more rusted bolts dealing with that tranny than just an engine removal. All I'm going to have is a cherry picker too. No tranny jack.

Engine Question

I need to know if it is at all possible to remove the K8 engine without removing the transmission, drive axels... etc. The haynes manual for the mx-6 and probe book recommends it. I'm only looking to replace the clutch and engine, i really don't want to mess with the rest of that, i have a dirt floo...
