There's a search button at the top of EVERY page in this forum, you can't get away from it. As Tunes said, most common cause is vacuum leak. I had this issue a couple months ago. I knew that my air intake hose was cracked, so I taped it up with some electrical tape. Well, after about five minutes of...

My car is a '96. I can't figure out how to link to the shop manual, but it's on page G-24. It says to adjust the distributor, then disconnect the jumper, then verify the timing. Tunes... in your throttle body cleaning article, you wrote," And thats it folks.. you should of course replace the ga...

Sorry...I've just read through some of the old posts, and you already said that this can't be done because it's in the board design.

Still would be nice though. Great site. :2thumbsup:

Goto Page...

Just a suggestion. It would be nice when viewing forums to be able to jump to a specific page, instead of just the first 5 or so, the last 5 or so, and the next page. Like a dropdown list where you could specifically select which page to go to. Sometimes I like to go back and read old posts, and you...

You have to pull the jumper wire before shutting the car off, according to the shop manual, and the way I did it. If you don't, the ecu tries to compensate for any changes that you made and reverse them to their prior state.

Tow Hooks

Wasn't sure where to post this, but here seems fitting. I removed my front oem tow hooks just to remove a bit of unnecessary weight from the front. I'm wondering though, if they're a structural part of the frame (unibody). They do have a 90 degree bend in them. One surface is bolted to the front of ...

Thanks for the reply. I'm in Canada, but my stepfather has transport trucks that go down to the states many times a week, so that would be my shipping method. I'm thinking of just buying a complete written-off car for these parts, but if the price is right for your parts, and there is no rust or bod...

The Weapon R Secret Weapon intake has an optional ram air kit that you can buy. I guess the cone filter is designed to have some kind of hose attatched to it's end, and that hose gets run into the front bumper, or wherever. How well this works, I have no idea.

Check out the 4 cylinder FAQ's, there's tons of info on this type of thing. If your mx3's a '92 or '93 it should have a 88 hp SOHC, and if it's '94++ it's probably the 105 hp DOHC. Regardless, not very much power. One of the most popular ideas seems to be to swap in the Mazda BP engine. It has a hig...

Excellent. Thanks for the info. I won't be starting this for a couple months when I get a break from school. I'm sure I'll have many more questions.

You would use your existing wiring harness, since your car's a '92. Ecu's can sometimes be found on ebay.

B6 to KLZE swap

I've done a TON of reading on this forum for the past few months. I'm up until 5 in the morning sometimes just reading until I can't see the computer monitor any longer. My girlfriend can't stand it. I've got a '96 RS. For the longest time I've been interested in doing the BP swap, and have been wat...

I kinda have a similar problem with my mx-3. I've got a '96 RS, and there are no listings basically anywhere for a '96. I just go by the '95 listings because they the same for most things. The only half-a#$ explanation that I got was from a parts guy at my Mazda Stealership. He said because the car ...

Did you remove the MAF sensor when you installed your cone filter? That needs to stay in, or else your ecu will think that the throttle body isn't getting any air.
