If you still have the oem black rubber intake hose to your throttle body, check it VERY carefully for the tiniest of cracks. This is a very common cause of hesitation issues. Those are the valet buttons for the Clifford. They are used for programming the module, as well as manually putting the car in and taking it out of valet mode. Valet mode disables the remote start function for when you are working on the vehicle.

give this a try Princess.. locate the fuse for the Daytime Running lights.. Pull the fuse.. then see if the behavior continues. Clearly she is parking her car with it in first gear (with the clutch held in), then pulling the e-brake, then shutting the car off. If she was doing it the way that you thought Dali, I don't think she'd be able to figure out how to get the letters onto the computer screen. Not sure about the MX3, ...

You kinda have to be lying on your back, with your head under the dash to see it. Likely you'll have the conncector, even if your car isn't OBD-II, I do.

The original post says that the car is put into first and then the e-brake pulled. Not many things surprise me, but I've never seen somebody with an automatic transmission who puts the shifter into 1st (low) when they park. She has explained what she's doing.
