Re: Won't start
Fixed! :) This will be my last post on this unless someone has ?s. I hate electrical stuff and this is why. If you've read the post you'll notice the car had spark. Not great spark but it would jump a small gap to ground. Dosen't sound like a disty issue does it? I didn't think so either, but the fa...

Re: Won't start
Tried starting in diagnostic mode. No go. Have already cleared all codes. But I just ran out and did it again. Still no go. I have a $410+tax disty. ordered. Hope it's here tomorrow, my son has been driving it this year and he's paying the bill. Hate to dump money in not knowing if it's going to do ...

Re: Won't start
Well, all that work today for nothing. Am I ever disgusted! Pulled the belts and crank pulley and enough bolts from the t.b. covers to see the timing marks. Everything lines up. Not fuel. Not timing. I can't see it being a major vac. leak. The car was only started for two mins. max. Just long enough...

Re: Won't start
Thanks all, I'll take alook at the timing first good day I get. The weather is still cold and damp and I've got a dirt driveway and yard. Not the greatest work area.

Re: Won't start
What about checking the timing with a light. Will it give an accurate reading at the speed that the engine would be turning on the starter? Remember it won't fire up.

Re: Won't start
lithium- I think I saw the post where you mention that, and I already tried it. No change. I work alot on snowmobiles and have found that works on fouled plugs or weak spark. As posted before, I did check the coil and had proper resistence on the secondary windings but couldn't get a proper reading ...

Re: Won't start
Althought it's expensive at about $400, I almost wish it is the disty since it's easy to replace. No one around here has a spare to try with. If it had jumped it's timing, how many teeth would it take before it wouldn't even make an attempt at going? I mean there's not a cough, a kick, a backfire, j...

Won't start
Hi all! I have a '93 GS, stock K8. Has been running good but two weeks ago it quit running. I needed to plow the yard so started the car, it fired rite up and was running fine, moved it to the back of the yard and shut it off. Plowed, went to move the car back and it won't start. Not a kick. Pump is...

Well, I chickened out. A mechanic I know, who works for 20/hr. said he'd do it for me, and since I don't have act. torches or air, I'm glad he did it! I had bought a clutch kit the other day, one for a MX6, cause I figured it would be a better replacement and cause I'm cheap and it was 10.00 less. :...

Hi again everyone, I decided to take the day off work, the weather's good and it's calling for a nice weekend so that will give me three days. If that's not enough I should sell my wrenches. lol. Question tho, can I leave the passengers side axel in place and just slide it out of the ta as I take it...

Thanks for the quick reply, web sites like this are great for new owners. When I bought it I was only thinking of a cheap little car for running back and forth to work but it's really starting to grow on me. My kids love it. I'm 37 and it's all work-work-work now but when I was younger I had a 280ZX...

Clutch ? from new member
Hi everyone! I bought a 93' MX-3 with the 1.8 v-6 and 5 speed manual. It was sitting on the side of the road along my way to work so I stopped to look thinking it would be alot cheaper to drive than my Jeep. I paid 800.00. The brakes were sticking and it seems to burn alittle oil, not bad, but the e...
