Speedometer cable updated by Mazda
What's up all?
So, my speedometer cable broke again and there aren't any MX-3's left in the junkyards near me. Looked for 90's Protege's even Escorts, Tracers, 323's but nothing. I ran out ov ideas for interchangeable parts and just went to Mazda. I only broke the lower cable so I tried to be ...

Re: 1.8 BP going turbo
not much... :( It's looking like I'm going to have to use a miata top mount manifold, maybe have it cut and welded upside down, or maybe just cut a hole for it in the hood and leave it sticking out. :P the only other option I found was that one on Amazon. I think I'm going to get it just to see if ...

Re: 1.8 BP going turbo
What did you do for your exhaust manifold? I found this on Amazon " Mazda Miata Mx5 1.8L T3 T4 T3/T4 Performance Iron Exhaust Header Turbo Manifold " Which I think might be perfect, but I know nothing and have no experience. Honestly, I don't want to dig through all the build threads, I get easily ...

1.8 BP going turbo
It has been a long road to get to this point, but I think I'm about ready to turbo. I already have;
-ms2 PNP and figured out how to tune it.
-upgraded the Tranny to the KIA g-series.
-Rx8 yellow injectors on the way.
-35,000mi "new" BP transplant
-Boost gauge on the way
-wideband o2
I ...

Rear side marker socket BW3N-51-584
What's up all? My side marker light went out. when I changed the bulb I noticed that the socket was completely corroded and crumbled when I tried to clean the corrosion off.
So now I need to replace the socket. The guy at Mazda gave me part number BW3N51584. When I looked online ...

Re: Clear fuel lines?
CLEAR COLORS!?!????!?! WHAAAAT???? That's amazing!! I love adding color to my engine bay. Before my most recent engine swap, It looked like a box ov crayons exploded on my engine. Next project that gets started out ov boredom will probably be the colored fuel lines. Those are awesome!! Good find ...

Re: Clear fuel lines?
Where did you find clear fuel line? I didn't know they made it. I know fuel hoses are a special material that doesn't slowly dissolve, like regular rubber/plastic would. If you have a clear material that is totally safe, go for it! Let me know how it turns out. Actually sounds like a cool idea.

Re: Exhaust fumes entering cabin
Only time I ever had exhaust in the cabin was years ago when the tiny rear window got shattered out. I would say check your hatch weather strip. It could be the little vents in the back. if you pop off your trunk liner you should be able to see them. I'm pretty sure they are in the rear corners. Def ...

All right, I know you have probably figured it out already, but for anyone who checks in the future...

Re: MT oil?
I have heard ov people just letting it ride. I would suggest at least keeping an eye on the fluid level. If you develop a leak, may as well dump to make it easier to work with, then add new fluid. Just avoid cheap gear oil that has sulpher in it. I hear it destroys the syncros. IIRC. But the manual ...

D2 coilovers Height adjustment.
Hey all,
I just found a set ov D2 coilovers in the junkyard. My condolences to the owner ov the gold mx3 in VA beach. Anyways, I have never owned coilovers so I have a couple questions.
First: What is the tallest I can make them? I plan to raise the vehicle to get on the tow dolly 8) Then lower ...

Re: Door lock swap (Write up)
Thank you. This was my first attempt at doing a write up. I'm still not sure how to post pictures, adding the link was the best I could do. If anyone knows how to add/attach actual pix let me know. I did a search a few years ago but didn't come up with much other than, the image has to be on the ...
