Thanks for the input guys. But having a stock alternator re wound doesn't really do much good. They run alot hotter then they are suppose to and that make them less depenpable. Do anyone know of a company thats make a high output alternator for a Mx-3 ? Or is there another car alternator that would work on it? I'm looking for one that will do 200 amps.

Took the car to a 3x Nspl event yesterday hit a 148.5 on the dash & 150 flat in the kick. I'm getting closer to my goal. I'll get some pics of the new setup soon. Got to get a new camrea.

Ok guys its been almost a year since i've posted anything on this site. I have been working hard on my baby and she has been thru a few stereo setup so i'm going to post what been going with it. I still haven't got to the 150 db mark yet. My best score to date is a 148.7 and i'm still working on it....

you right...my ele needs somemore upgrade before i can get the full power out of it. it does 3k rms @ 12.5. but it will do over 5k on 16 volts. i plan on adding 1 more amp, 3 more kinetik 2400, and 2 200 amp alternator before its all done. the sub are custom built so they will take 3k like your btl....

you shouldn't have any problems running that small amp with a factory alt and battery. I run 4000 watts rms in my car with a stock alt and one extra battery.
