Thanks for the replies. I understand how the tps works and i already adjusted it. Thanks for the hlp though.
For the timing, ive been doing everythign right but the computer just wont save that as the timing mark so ill just leave that alone. I tried again to set it and it just doesnt want to stick.

Re: No oil on the dip stick
I Had a long thaught about this once. Your oil should be full when the engine is hot. It should be close to full when some of the oil is in the upper end of the einge, ie valves and what not. I always used to check my k8 every morning before going to work to make sure i had a little more than full o...

Re: Installed kl36 ecu. Rad fan always on??
well i tried the FEN and +b with ten and gnd and no go. the led didnt even light up. i guess the only way i can get codes is if i switch the ecu's and go for a drive.

Re: Installed kl36 ecu. Rad fan always on??
are you sure about this? i dont really want to be sticking wires and pins into random places to see what happens.shameem wrote: The led goes between FEN and B+ and the jumper goes between TEN and GND.
Have you just read about it or have you actually done it yourself?

Re: Installed kl36 ecu. Rad fan always on??
okay, so i put a 12v led inline with the ten and grnd pins and like some people said it doesnt work. the led just illuminates and doesnt flash. Now for the coolant temp sensor it looks as though i already have 2 sensors in the coolant neck so i dont know whats up with that. Thanks for the replies.

Re: Installed kl36 ecu. Rad fan always on??
you make a good point there, lol never thaught of that. Now is there a way i can check my codes? Say if i stuck a wire with a led in the ten and grnd pins would i get flashes from the led bulb or is it more complicated than that? And for the rad fan i remember reading somewhere that it has to do wit...

Installed kl36 ecu. Rad fan always on??
I installed a kl36 ecu a few moments ago and i no longer have a check engine light and my raqd fan is continuiously on. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is? For my rad fan im thinking it has to do with the coolant temp sensors, but the check engine light i have no idea and its kinda importa...

Re: Piston won't slide into cylinder... B6 DOHC
you should be checking ring end gap with the ring off of the piston. put the ring into the cylinder and push it in about half way using the piston to make sure its in the cylinder square. then measure the ring end gap. You should at least get your cylinders honed, the rings wont be able to seat prop...

Re: SUBS TOO POWERFUL FOR ALTERNATOR?? CAR SQUEAKS!!!
run a bar of soap for a quick second against the belt as the engines running. Ive never tried this myself but ive been told that it works.
Ive also been told that furniture polish like pledge also works but i think that it would just make the belt even more slippery.
