Good carpet fix

hi guys, just been working along today and trimmed my mx-3 carpets with some hair trimmers. Made a really good difference, looking really good and new now that the shabby bits have all been trimmed short, just thought i'd mention it incase it helps anyone, great fix and only took a few minutes :D

Wheel Bearing question

Just in the middle of doing my CV joints on my mx-3. On the front passenger side, the CV joint is totally out but there is a tiny bit of play in the hub. The car wasn't making any unusual noises before i started changing the CV joints, just wondering if its normal to have a bit of play in the bearin...

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) question

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the effect would be if the EGR valves were to be blocked shut? From what i know about cars, i'm guessing that it would improve mpg and give possibly slighty increased performance as the engine wouldn't be getting a portion of the exhaust gases going throu...

fluid leaking sound when turning?

whenever i turn the steering wheel it sounds like fluid is leaking or losing pressure. I'm wondering if the steering wheel pump is starting to give up? Its hard to explain, the steering still feels fine but its just this noise, when almost on full lock theres a point in which the sound of fluid movi...

is it anything to do with the throttle cable? if thats getting stuck then that could explain it, might be something more troublesome though but thats the simplest thing it could be maybe?
