Interesting thought, but although I didn't change my tires, I did rotate them.

Struts?

Yoda,

I'm going to rule out a shawdy balance job, because my brother is a tech, and he did it, so I trust him. But he did tell me that I need new struts in the back - he said they're bone dry.

Could this be the issue?

Shimmy/wobble on highway - not balance or alignment - HELP!

If anyone can shed some light on this problem for me, I'd be forever indebted. My 94' 4-cyl. shakes on the highway. It's not in the steering wheel, and it's not while braking (although my rear brakes need to be done - I have a wobble and squeal - but this is unrelated, I think). I have had the front...

Sounds good. Tonight, I'm going to check for leaks, and possibly just set the idle back to where it was.

I'll post an update when done.

Any other suggestions are welcome!! I need all the info I can get!

Thanks... Although, before I adjusted the idle, it was running just fine. I mean, it was at 500 all the time, but no hesitating, no surging, nothing. I might just try to turn it back to where it was, and see what happens. Anyone know how to "default" the base idle? What is it, something li...

AHHHHH!!!!! frustration setting in......

OK, so I removed and cleaned the TB, adjusted the TPS w/ the feeler gauges & multimeter (it's DEAD on now), and proceeded to adjust the idle. Here's what I did: Turn off engine, and ignition. Jumped TEN->GND Turned on ignition. No error codes. Turned on engine. Allowed to warm to operating temp....

Thanks for the tip! BTW, by slight incline do you think regular driveway-type incline is enough? And since we're on the subject - why do I need to be on an incline??

I said "flush", but I meant drain. The shopman says to drain all the coolant. This would suck for me, cause I just did a full flush. Can I get away with removing the TB without draining coolant?

Old topic, new question (help w/ TB please!)

So, I read and printed the throttle body cleaning procedure, but I'm iffy on the removal part of it. Do I really need to do a coolant flush before removal??

Help! Need to cool down! (A/C installation)

So I tried searching first, but hit a brick wall, so here it is: I have a '94 RS 1.6 DOHC, 5 spd, no air conditioning. I WANT A/C! Anyone know how I would go about installing A/C in my car? I can't even imagine that trying to pull a complete unit out of a scrapper would be a good idea, so what are m...

Had same problem...

I had the same problem. I took off the front wheels, and ripped out the heat shields. Turns out, they were scraping against the inside of the rim. Oddly enough, I could only hear it at very low speeds (0-5km/h) and while turning. Cold weather made it worse too.

Easy fix!

.

Matter of fact, I can take the changer deck instead. Either or would be fine - I prefer the changer deck, now that I think about it - I like the AUX-in function (iPod :)
