Re: A/C can't compete with Florida heat
It's actually a 95 4 cyl. I guess I should of mentioned that. So I am already running 134a. Do you think vacuuming the system and refilling it would help?

A/C can't compete with Florida heat
Hey everyone! The Florida heat is finally here for good. My car doesn't seem to be able to cool my car like it should. I have a blue car with a black interior. I have tinted windows and use a sun shade in my windshield. I have about a 45 minute commute home from work and my car never really seems to...

Re: Need a quick answer about parts for different years
Ya, I wasn't thinking very clearly this morning, haha. I was just pissed that my housing was still leaking, then it cracked in half so I overlooked the obvious. Anyways, I ordered one from the mazda dealership and it will be here tomorrow. Hope I don't run in to any more problems.

Need a quick answer about parts for different years
I need to know if a thermostat housing from a 92 mx-3 will fit a 95. My housing broke last night and I need one asap because that is my daily driver. The only mx-3 I can find in fl is a 92.

Re: Coolant leaking out of tranmission
Well I took my distributor off and the thermostat housing back off and luckily there was a little bit of the stud still sticking out. So I busted out the dremel, sand 2 of the sides flat and managed to back it out with some vice grips. Put everything back together, but it is still leaking at the bot...

Re: Coolant leaking out of tranmission
Well I found the problem but now I am royally screwed. The bolt on the engine where the nut screws the thermostat housing broke off. Not the bold that screws into the engine, but the stud coming out.
Without tearing everything apart, it looks like there is no hope now.

Re: Coolant leaking out of tranmission
Thanks for the suggestions Ryan. Yes I did give the thermostat a new gasket. I will inspect it further in the morning and update on the situation if I find anything. I hope it isn't anything too bad.

Re: Coolant leaking out of tranmission
I have had the car for 2 years now.
I just did a little more digging and read about a leaky freeze plug that might be causing this. I've never heard of that part. I will check it out tomorrow when it is light out.

Coolant leaking out of tranmission
Well I think my car might be in trouble. My heat hasn't worked since I got the car and I decided to change the thermo stat today so see if that would help. I drained and flushed the system, installed the new thermostat and the heat still doesn't work. However, now I noticed a pretty substantial cool...

Re: MX-3's float!
Well I vacuumed up most of the water so the carpet is just damp now, but still has a strong smell, lol. Now for the bad part... since my headlights were filled with water the glass on the bulbs shattered so my brand new silverstars are already dead. and on to the really bad part... :( I had a carpc ...

Re: MX-3's float!
It was kinda scary at the time because I thought I was going to float in to all of the cars around me or someone was going to be coming the other way. It is hilarious when I think about it now though. I must of looked so ridiculous. It also made me realize I have to plug the hole in my firewall wher...

MX-3's float!
So I live in Florida and we have been getting ridiculous amounts of rain lately. The roads are usually pretty flooded so there are some good sized puddles to drive through. Well today was exceptionally bad. I was on my way home from work taking my normal route and the rain was just not letting up. I...

Is my clutch toast?
So yesterday I was driving my car normal, not driving it hard or anything. I pull up to a stop light. I push the clutch in and put it in to first. I noticed while I'm still holding the clutch in the car is starting to move forward. I release the clutch and now it feels very very loose. The problem i...

[WTB] Black rear speaker covers & back seat top
If anyone has the speaker covers that go behind the seats that are black and are in good condition, please let me know the price shipped to 32714.
Also, I am looking for the top part of the rear seat.
Thanks,
David
