Re: turbo or super?
a turbo is better for a few reasons. turbo's are more effecient seeing that they use wasted exhaust gases to create power, whereas the s/c uses power from the engine to create power. turbo's are also more effecient because they create a lower charge temperature than s/c's do. heat is the enemy of ho...

Re: couple of problems
blue smoke out of the exhaust is what you thought, burning oil. some causes of this are rings, valve seals, head gasket. to check, do a compression check. if you have a low cylinder, add about a cap of oil into that cylinder and redo the compression check. if the readings go up, it's the rings. if i...

seeing as how i didn't use the gtx harness/ecu setup, i don't know much about it. one extra plug will be for the knock sensor unless you snagged one from a gtx.

plus their ease in making more power. i haven't run into many stock wrx's, so comparing "stock" times is somewhat pointless. it comes down to run what'cha brung, and hope you brung enough. don't count on it being a stock setup, to sit there and say you would beat it. their car has just as ...

Re: Please Help - Front Axle Replacement
there's a tool that looks somewhat like a tuning fork with pointed tips. you just hammer it between the tranny case and the axle. if you don't have this tool, a good pry bar seems to work.

Re: Distributor Replacement -- Frustrated & Clueless
having the car at TDC helps to find the correct position of the disty for timing purposes. it may only go in one way, but it can still move from side to side a good bit. congrats on fixing the problem though.
