Re: The B6T Engine
from what i've found out about the bpt motor is that you can use the stock b6 ecu but get a piggy-back boost controller. the wiring harness fits except there isn't a knock sensor. the flywheel and clutch assymbly are interchangeable(but you'll want to get a performance clutch) as well as accessories...

Re: Engine Swap
super street had a segment in the tech Q&A about this in the june issue. they even said it's not really that benificial unless this is something that you really want to do. that it would be easier to buy a v6 mx-3 and go from there. money isn't the only issue. this is something that will take qu...

Re: Wanted BPD
there's two versions. bpt(323 gtx) 180hp and the bpd(323 gtr) 210+hp. but he's right, cork sport sells both. the gtr motor is about a grand more though.

Re: Engine swap besides a B6t
it would be an ungodly task putting the probe gt motor(v6) in. stay away from v6 engines unless you have an abundant amount of time and money.

Re: what next!
nitrous(NOS is a brand name) is a very safe way to get more hp. BUT, it's only as safe as the operator makes it. if you did a farely moderate shot amount, you would most likely never encounter a problem(freak accidents apply here). the safety mechanisms they have on kits now is what makes it safer t...

Re: Engine swap besides a B6t
that's the first i've seen of the bpd being the motor from the gtr. well, if that's true, then that's the motor to go with. here's what i read in the motor swap forum that confused me:a BPD 1.8 litre DOHC 4 cylinder found in the '90-'91 Protégé GT & AWD, '90-'95 Escort GT & Tracer LX-E. In t...
