Re: Whats the best thing to do?
search for b6t swaps and/or b6t custom turbo. kick @$$ mazda i believe has a link in his sig that shows you how to do this. to me, this would probably be the cheapest route.

Re: BP strengths/weakness
the average is roughly 400whp. this is all relative based on condition of the motor and the amount of PROPER tuning. the rods and pistons tend to hold up pretty well, it's the caps that tend to be the weakest link.

Re: SOHC and DOHC tranny the same?
vise versa my @$$? wow, the maturity of this board keeps getting lower. this was in reference to the passenger side as i was talking about the jack-shaft etc. i'll just leave it at that, you can take it for what it's worth. it's a proven fact that you can use the sohc PASSENGER side axle with the 94...

Re: SOHC and DOHC tranny the same?
the jack-shaft does not concern the tranny, just the year of the car. the jack-shaft bolts to the back of the block, so a sohc motor will not have these. you can use the 92-93 axles on any year mx3, but not vise versa

Re: Who really knows the B6 and BP
the bp head will not fit the b6 block as the bp motors are physically longer.

Re: BAD news
last time i talked to braden, he had pretty much given up on the BLT idea. whether it be no time, etc. He rarely gets online anymore. I haven't talked to him in some months. the thing with corksport is, they have horrible customer service, arrogant staff, and they're overpriced. you tend to catch so...

Re: B6T
you don't "NEED" to change the trans on a bpt swap. most just prefer to. you have the sohc, so you already have the axles you'd need if you kept the f-series.

yeah, the relay is up in the passenger side/firewall corner. you can use a pwm to run the a/c.

if you're concerned with looks, have your manifold ceramic coated when you get your turbo setup.

Re: need a bp tranny swap expert...
the mx3 and pro lx have the same spline count and diameter. i don't know if the b6t has mounts for a jack-shaft or not. if not, you could probably just use the stock mx3 sohc axles. haven't messed with a b6t swap so i'm not too sure.
