the recall is still in effect, i had mine fixed about a year and a half ago, if you have problems with the dealership just have them look up the recall, when mazda did the recall they extended it to last "the life of the car". Got mine fixed free of charge.

I'd definately be down for a Mid West meet. I live in Kansas, KC or Omaha would do fine.

thanks for hijacking my thread, should i be worried about this pressure build up? My car seems to stumble and run rough when it builds this pressure up but if release the pressure my car seems to run better and idle alot smoother. Is there something wrong with the evap system? How can i test this?

It is going to pretty close to empty the last couple of times, and im sure its not a vacuum i feel air coming out when i undo the gas cap.

Everytime i go to put gas into my car there is alot of pressure that is released from the tank. I mean a lot of pressure, more than normal. I have read that high fuel pressure will cause bad gas milage and just needing to know what i can do to correct this problem.

Ok, so i pulled a code, 17. I've looked on tha FAQ and it says something about the o2 sensor but im not exactly sure. The codes that i found tho are for a V6 apparently, i need to know what that code is for on a SOHC.

I am not getting a check engine light, the only time i get that is if i unplug the o2 sensor. I have recently done a tune up on it, however i suspect i need to reset my idle, i am going to do that and go from there, the is not leaks on the intake so thats not it either. I will post when i am done ...

When ever i hit a bump with my passenger rear tire, my car feels like its driving on ice, it feels very loose. I check the tire today and there is excessive wear on the outer part of the tire, not on the side wall but the outer most part of the driving surface is very warn, any suggestions?

i'd be interested in turboing my sohc. I know it would be a time consuming and money consuming task but then look at another side, it would be something unique since not many people do it and it involves 100% custom work so i would gladly turbo and sohc than buy a BPT.
