umm all my connections look fine pretty much, for my capacitor i have the ground going to the actual body of the car, and for the amp the ground goes to the strut... unless one of those was a bad choice im not sure :/ I assume you mean a strut MOUNT ...... which is entirely coated with rubber ........

Yep with the mx-3. My team wants me to do a wall in it but I kinda like the car and don't want to wreck it completely so I got another car to wreck instead.

Bad connections. I would check all your power and ground connections over, You could have a poor ground.

I know a setup that will hit 143's on the new meter at the dash in a fold down seat sedan. It consists of a kicker 600.1, a single 12" pioneer and a box that i have the dims for. I know as i used it last year in the wifes car. I popped it at 49hz so it should be really close if you pop it at 52...

Ehhhh its allright but not crazy, for reference the old audio control 180 meter hits 6 db higher than the new TL or audio control 190. It also has to be mounted on the floor which usually means higher spl. Basically that would have been a 153db on the floor with the new meters.

Went to another show today

Well my sponsor wanted me at an unsanctioned event, namely it wasn't usac, db drag or slap. It was a small store in NH. They were using an older meter ( audio control 180 ) AC 180. i managed to wack a 159 even on the meter for the loudest of the day.

Never heard of that brand before, but good luck. They are a fairly new company pat. Ive heard a few things about them some good some bad. Me personally I think it all boils down to whos ears are listening. Me personally I'll stick with my momo's rated at 125w rms and taking the full 650 from my kic...

Ok this is actually preety easy. Since the screen actually slides into itself you dont have to hide the screen. What you have to hide is the radio. You will need a "factory" mazda radio to break and a scratched up cd. You will have to remove the front face of the "factory" radio ...

Ok tunes. I have some comments. #1 do not tint your car, It provides a basis for target ( tinted windows? he must have something ), limited visibility of someone on the opposite side of your car ( your in the house and see nothing someone is breaking in on opposite side ) and conveniently for a thie...

Ok run the cables down the opposite side of the car that your power wire is on.

Or buy a better set of cables

I'm assuming its a high pitched whine that increases in volume as you accelrate. 2 ways to fix it, run rcas down the oppsite side of the car that the power wire is on or buy a really really good set of shielded twisted pair rca cables. For reference i run my RCA's next to a battery bank with 2 1/0 g...

all depends.. Its pretty simple.. Bass will travel where it wants when it wants... That is the most ridiculous statement i have ever heard. Bass can be directed very easily. Some of the vans we test with walls peg 160's on the drivers side and 170's on the passenger side where we mount the meter. N...

If you are not using an expensive and accurate meter like i do for testing then you can't possibly know which way works best. The positioning I've reccomended couples the wave of the box with the wave of the car. When you can peg 150+ DB with a single sub you can preach what the best configuration i...
