Re: KL-ZE w/corksport reprogrammed ecu
"Mr. MX6", I never doubted that you have the ZE ecu, in fact, the ZE ecu is most likely a direct swap for you because you're in Australia. But for us here in the U.S., I believe that our MX-3's are wired differently than out there, which is the reason why the ZE ecu will not fit our cars w...

Re: KL-ZE w/corksport reprogrammed ecu
bulls--- on who's part? This is the only time that I've ever heard of someone mentioning that the KL-ZE ecu can directly be swapped, without any rewiring.
I've heard, from several different sources, that it CAN'T BE DONE, without a lot of work.....and in my opinion, it's not worth it. :p

Re: Which spark plugs for KL-ZE
They're definately a "hotter" plug, since the ceramic insulator is much shorter than the original that were in there.
Thanks!

Which spark plugs for KL-ZE
I just purchased a set of NGK spark plugs for a 2.5 MX-6 (KL-03 I believe), but I noticed that the insulator was a bit different and the overall length of the plug was a tad bit longer.
Does the KL-ZE utilize the same plugs as the MX-6 2.5? I eventually plan on getting a set of NGK-R's from Corksp...

Re: KL-ZE w/corksport reprogrammed ecu
From what I've heard, rewiring is needed and some sensors have to be replaced as well.

Re: KL-ZE w/corksport reprogrammed ecu
We can't actually use the KL-ZE ecu's because it would require a ton of rewiring. What we do here is take the standard 1.8ecu and have it reprogrammed with the KL-ZE specs.

How do you get notified through your email of a new post to a thread, but you didn't start the thread. I know you can select this option if you originally started the thread, but what if you responded to an older thread and want to get notified, how's this done?

Re: tired of this stupid problem...
230?? Wow, I think that's a bit high. 170 sounds right. I'm not sure if it's directly related, but I would perform a timing adjustment and make sure it's between 9-11 degress BTDC.
