ok I haven't found any OBD II connectors. People keep telling me that because my car is a uk 1995 N reg it is going to be OBDII. I really have to sort this out once and for all. On a UK forum one of the guys said if the ECU has 4 connectors its OBDII, OBDI have 2/3. Mine has 3, so does this 100% con...

I added high temp sealant, to be honest I'm not sure if its needed or wise. But I noticed the old one had traces of liquid gasket, so I thought it would be wise to scrape that out and replace it. -I put a thin line of liquid gasket all along the inside grove of the valve cover -Set the cover on top ...

Ahh well I reckon I could be at the back one in about an hour now, as I know what I'm doing. I'd say it took me 3hours to get at it first time, as I'm very new to mechanics and didn't want to trash anything. I'd say it'd be no problem doing it over the weekend. Are you wanting to get at the rear one...

Being from Northern Ireland I used a UK store's gaskets: http://www.fordprobestore.co.uk/store/product_info.php?cPath=51_74&products_id=489 The gaskets were a great fit, and I also used some extra Hermetite Instant Gasket Red, just to be sure with the awkward rear one. Yep 5.0-8.8 Nm according t...

yep I used my old bolts, the torque on the valve covers is very low, so I'd be surprised if you ran into trouble there. I think it said about 8nm in the manual maybe? That's from memory though, if you need to know I'll look it up

Well today my intake manifold gaskets arrived from the very reliable fordprobestore.co.uk. Just a pity about the rain! So because our garage is totally full of crap I had to think of another plan- the gazebo! http://marcharrington.com/mx3/gazebo.JPG haha the ridiculous looks I was getting for my wee...

Problem - Oil Dripping off Spark Plug

My car has been spluttering, sounding like it's misfiring BADLY. So I took out my spark plugs and when I got to the last plug on the rear bank, I pulled it out and it was seriously dripping in oil (on the inside). There was also small traces of oil on the rest of them, but I didn't think much of it....

OBDII connector

Hey,

Can someone confirm for me where exactly the OBDII connector is? I'm trying to finally work out if my late 95 reg 1.8 v6 is OBDI or II.

And yes I've searched the site! Is it in the centre under the fan controls? Or is there an easier way to tell?

Thanks for your help
