Re: Megasquirt for my KLZE
anyone any thoughts how much deleting the VAF for MAP style sensor would help in his case? i.e. klze NA, high flowing exhaust system, decent intake.

Is this the green triangular shaft out the tranny? I left mine on whilst taking my engine out! No clearance issues, perhaps because I've a Uk car with no brake master in the way...

Re: kl31 1a1 head with kl01 cams
I'm happy to pay $400 for the comfort of reliability :) Plus I've started taking the heads off anyway so now is the time to do it right! I guess I'm one of those instances then, who knows what the japs get up to with these engines :D Yea I expected to find kl31, but alas kl01 in a supposedly "t...

Re: B6DE: KLZE swap
yea you will need ALOT, a whole front end really - engine mounts, tranny, axles, hubs?, ecu, wiring harness...etc. I would stick to another i4 engine - bp and go the turbo route. Or buy an early v6 car and swap a ze into that. I'm pretty sure there's some articles in the FAQ for v6/4cyl will clarify...

Re: kl31 1a1 head with kl01 cams
Well the guy who got it first got it with the straight neck... Which is what threw me off with it having kl01 cams!
do the kl31-1a1 have the weak retainer problem? Just deciding to interprep valve spring and kl-03 retainers or not to bother!
Thanks for reply

I think you should buy it too ;) Here's their test results: http://www.electricsupercharger.com/test-results.html An 'independant' tester magazine: http://www.electricsupercharger.com/pdfs/S3-Mag-11-05-e-RAM-dyno-article.pdf The all-new e-RAM draws 60 Amps from a car battery in the “pre-charged” sta...

Re: ~$50 Ebay underdrive pulleys OK?
I recently installed a Cosmo UDP on my k8 car as my crank pulley frisbeed half of itself off! I have been running it for 2 weeks. No bearings have exploded yet... I can quite honestly say I have noticed the difference. It's more responsive for sure, my highly inaccurate stopwatch 0-60 indicates mayb...

Re: ZE retainers or springs - which is the problem?
From what I can gather, the ZE retainers on the intake are a poor build. The springs have been said to have burred edges further digging into the weak retainers - which is why I asked. So it seems the retainers are the real problem, they crack, the valve drops, game over. I'll probably be getting an...
