If your going to rebuild it then whats the issue. Upgrade the valvetrain. You got to ask yourself a couple questions. What do you wont from your motor. Daily driver, track/dialy driver/ or just track use only. What power goals do you have? How much boost do you want to run, and so on. If your planin...

you def get better fuel economy and you gain like .1 at the track (depending on driver) I like my kl36 ecu. Ill probably just use some msd window switches for the vris. Good thing about the probinator is that you can check codes the regular way. ALso I think he can set vris points to however u want...

kirk95gs.... i was in the same situation when i played serious hockey ( could have played in the whl for lethbridge) i ended up going through 8 one piece sticks that were priced at 250 a stick.... let alone all the other equipment... lol i think in one year i spent $3500 on sticks and equipment.......
