Re: Gasoline smell from vent
Better get your a-- under the hood and find out where the gas leak is or you might be talking to your insurance agent about the total loss of your MX-3 due to fire!

Re: Hatch Not Closing Evenly
This probably isn't what you want to hear but I believe whoever did your bodywork didn't do a thorough job. Sounds like he got it "close enough."

Re: life span of the 1.8?
No, it's a no-no to run synthetic in a brand new engine. Although it's not a huge concern these days since rings seat almost immediately, but it has been stated that the use of synthetic oil in a new engine will not allow the rings to seat properly and thus lead to high oil consumption.

I'm swapping in a KLZE soon.
What brand and type of poly? I didn't know there was some available off the shelf that I could inject myself.

Re: Energy Suspension Motor Mount inserts???
No, polyurethane inserts in the motor mounts to make them stiffer, less likely to twist due to torque. Energy Suspension claims they can also be used to refurbish mounts with torn rubber. This would be a lot cheaper than the Mazdaspeed mounts but Energy doesn't make them for the MX-3 but some of the...

Energy Suspension Motor Mount inserts???
I noticed in the Summit Import catalog (more like a flyer really) that Energy Suspension has polyurethane inserts for Hondas (of course), Eclipses, and Escort ZX-2s (of all things!).
Has anyone checked to see if any of these will work in an MX-3? Anybody got a friend at a parts house that can fin...

Re: What Octane level U guys use
Mazdamaniac, I have only one point to make - all of the major producers (Shell, Chevron, Texaco) have their own refineries, take a drive through southeast Texas some time and see. All of the other gas stations must buy their gas from them.
Joemama, I vaguely recall reading something about ethanol ...

Re: 2.5 KL-ZE to be clarified
I'll be experiencing that as I'll be dropping a KLZE in my MX-3 GS pretty soon. :D I just received the Millenia manifold, throttle body, MX-6 ECU, and MX-6 VAF today.
I'll try to recoup some of my expenses by putting the KLZE MX-6 intake on eBay. Probe GTs and MX-6s can use it but it won't fit t...

Re: 1.8L Dual Turbo
Geez, you guys ask for a book full of answers with one question!
Twin turbos allow the use of smaller turbos. Smaller turbos have less mass and therefore spool up faster, thereby shortening the time it takes to build boost and horsepower.
I believe the Mitsu 3000GT VR-4 (Stealth), 300ZX, Maser...

Re: 2.5 KL-ZE to be clarified
If you've read all the posts, visited all the websites, then take your 1.8 and put the KLZE in! Start disconnecting stuff, label it, and get to work.
Otherwise, you're going to have to be more specific with your question.
