you make a very good point!

While the motor is out its the best time to do:

Timing belt
tensioner
water pump
and other misc belts and seals.

pm sent on the harness

Pull a plug wire to confirm your getting spark

If you getting spark then you must have fried something for the injectors, im sure there was a relay or a fuse for them.

Confirm 100% for sure you got fuel and spark before you look for a new ecu.

Grab the mx6 motor, ecu an vaf, drop it in and run with it.

Check your fuses before you do anything.

Well you can throw another auto in it. But converting to 5spd would be nice. Your best bet it to find a smashed probe or mx6 with the v6, grab the motor/tranny/ecu/vaf. Then grabd the clutch pedal assembly/shifter/linkage/axels from one on the junkyard. Pull the old motor and tranny together adn dro...

He cut the orange 6pin wire off, that stops the ecu signal from getting to the stock modual.

Thats for if your running an external coil

its usually not hard, your right on the horn, 2 wires.

Programing it usually consist of something like:

Press valet switch 3 times and hold
When light goes solid arm alarm
after light blinks disarm alarm

done

Now that is just an example, i cant remember all the ones i have done.
