Re: I can't believe it.....
I just checked the V6 manual. Yup, in bold no less. It is not recommended to hit deer with this car.

Re: help w/ hatchback lock
My lock hasn't worked with a key since 1997. Five years later and I don't miss it.
Sounds like something that should have been recalled.

Re: Electrical Problem! Not FuN!
Also don't know if this is related...since my components only dim quickly and don't turn off...but after throwing money into the mazda firepit, they finally decided it might be the wire harness that has corroded and replacing it might help. No more mazda mechanics in my car thanks.

I just don't use my air conditioning anymore...but now it's doing it without the air on...so I think it's time to take it in to the local shop...

Also sounds to me like Mazda can't keep qualified mechanics at their dealerships.
I've had similar experiences...(with the
dealership, not your problem)

What about ex-girlfriends or ex-wives...have you pissed them off? If so, check for small slices in the brake lines.

Squeeling sound from engine on startup
For the first 60 seconds after I start my car, there is a loud squeel from the engine that gets worse when I give it a little gas. How serious is this and what is it? I immediately thought fan belt since I'm not a mechanic, but then read White Fish's comment to someone else saying the MX3's don't ha...

terminal/wire harness
Question: Where do I take my car to get the terminal and wire harness replaced. I'm going through an alternator every nine months and the on again off again engine light is killing my car's performance.
Toronto area.

Re: What could cause bad alternator symptoms?
I guess I'll also answer my own question. According to the latest from the shop after taking it back a day after receiving it and seeing the light again...the Wire Harness Terminal was rotted out and it would cost around $800 with parts and labour to replace. Mechanic says it is giving false error c...

What could cause bad alternator symptoms?
Just trying to tap the wealth of MX3 minds here as to what could possibly be causing mechanics to test my alternator and say it's charging ok, but then after prolonged testing, see that periodically it is NOT charging. Two alternators later, the car continues to drive with periodic lags in the charg...

Engine light back on. I still hate the mazda repair shop. But now I hate the local repair shop too. Anyone know a place that can fix cars?

Re: another alternator for my car
Just picked up my baby at the local shop. New water pump, alternator belt, alternator. $480. ouch. But no engine light the whole drive home...when mazda replaced my alternator a year ago, the engine light was back on within 2 minutes...hmmmm and they told me everything was fine. How can I love my ca...

Re: another alternator for my car
Thanks Curt...I think the next engine light that comes on, I'm bringing my MX3 to Woodbridge...I forgot to mention that during the last year the oxygen sensor and temp sensor were also replaced while the shop tried to troubleshoot the error codes. Funny enough at one point (after replacing my altern...
