Those secondary butterflys internally may not be opening on mine, I havn't checked that out yet.

I know my 2.5 has amaxing torque out of the hole, but it falls on its face around 4000 rpm. I dont know what the deal is.

The 3 mechanics I have talked to told me they hated these engines and that they were a pain in the but.... I dont mind them at all though. So far I have been able to get at everything I have had to replace including power steering pump.

I knew it at when I purchased them, I cant think of it. yes, mechanics HATE these engines. They arent bad once you get used to them, but they dont want anything to do with them most of the time.

sounds to me like it got way too hot and now she soesnt want to run.
