As for the oil in the TB, I think it could been aspirated from the exaust when the motor was leaking oil internaly. Most part of the oil gets burned in with smoke but another part goes out by liquid form. Then EGR system sends some exaust smoke (and liquid oil) into TB. This appens more when you do ...

Me too I had white smoke when doing motor braking.

It was the EGR channel in the trotle body was full of oil junk. Cleaned it with brake cleaner and white smoke was gone.

You could try that :wink:

Yeah I found this gauge would be a good health indicator for the motor. Allready got this picture document for reading the gauge: http://www.classictruckshop.com/clubs/earlyburbs/projects/vac/uum.htm And yeah... I'm willling to buy one of those inches scale so we can discuss numbers more easily 8)

No no... not in theis case! take a closer look there's ( cm Hg ) on mine and ( in Hg ) on yours thats centimeters on one side and inches on the other. "Hg" maybe is for something like hydro gravity, or some Einstein stuff but, yeah.. those trucks got to suck air like no other vacuum cleane...

Number 70 is just for the metric system.
