[FS] Door Weather Stripping -- NEW
So due to an error on my part, I ordered the wrong kind of weather stripping. What I have are the left and right sides of the weather stripping for the doors that go around the shell of the car. These are BRAND NEW and some of the last of inventory according to the Mazda dealer. I'm selling the pair...

Re: My air conditioner isnt working and it's 100 degrees out
I just got my AC done today, first time in 5 years my car has AC, anyways.........the compressor pulley will always spin no matter what. what you need to check is when the AC is on, if the center of the pulley spins, this is what pumps the freon through the AC system. if it spins without making any ...

Re: [WTB] 1.6 A/C Compressor
thanks for the info on the drier. I took a look at mine and it looks like something out of the Titanic wreckage, just looking like a big rust tube! As for the A/C compressor, my mechanic is going to straighten out the pully where it's bent. I trust him enough, I know he'll get it working without pro...

Re: Self-diagnosis codes 8 & 10
UPDATE: If you've ever seen the inside of the MAF sensor, you know there are seven pins, three connected with wires, three connected directly the circuit board, and one that doesn't connect to anything. Well the three pins that are connected directly to the board are held together with thin strips o...

Re: Self-diagnosis codes 8 & 10
That's how I adjusted it after I fixed my leaking front pipe (except the difference was it idled too low) and it went fine. Car behaved normally. I also ran across this video on how to clean the sensor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AydgSxSKzD4&feature=related I opened the top already and I gue...

Re: [WTB] Shift Boot from 92-93
I have a 92 shiftboot i took off my car, (swapped for a 2nd gen Eclipse boot, so much nicer!) It's in decent shape for it's age, except there are 4 screw holes on the bottom right of the boot. I don't know what it's from, that's how it was when I got the car. Let me know if you're interested

[WTB] 1.6 A/C Compressor
the name says it all, basically looking for an A/C compressor for my 92 RS. I don't know if the 94-95 are interchangeable, but I have the R-12 setup and the compressor clutch is shot. Most preferably lookin to deal with someone from the states so S&H costs are at a minimum, or if my Canadian bre...

Self-diagnosis codes 8 & 10
Ever since I replaced my air intake hose my car has been idling at a steady 1.5k. I turned the idle screw all the way shut and it still idles at 700. I checked all the vacuum hoses and there aren't leaks. So then I did a self-diagnosis by jumping TEN & GND and it comes up with these two codes, 8...

Re: Parts list for Suspension
gonna get the struts from amazon.com and springs from ebay. all other parts i'm gettin from rockauto, and I guess that now includes buying the springs seats (good to know). I used to have generic American Racing Rims and switched them in February for the 99-03 Protege rims http://i475.photobucket.co...

Parts list for Suspension
Okay, so I pretty much know what I need to get to upgrade my suspension, but after looking on many sites, and searching these forums, I'm not sure if these "Mount Kits" come with all the pieces I would need to make my suspension complete, ie coil spring seat, thrust bearing, etc. I'm gonna...

Replacing my Air Intake Hose with Cold Air Intake??
So the air intake hose is cracked making the idle rough on my car. I have a 92 SOHC and haven't found a direct OEM replacement for the hose. But if I were to use this one, would it be plug n play?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Air-Intake-Hose-NEW-OE-REPLACEMENT-Ford-Escort-PART-CAR-_W0QQcmdZViewIt...

Non-operational Temperature gauge
A while back, I tried installing glow gauges and i removed the gas/temperature gauges from the cluster. I've never had the temp gauge working properly since. I recently did a coolant flush and also replaced the thermostat and sensor, but my temp gauge still isn't working properly. What happens is th...

Melting Cooling Wires (no pun inteded)
:crying: So I was driving my car today, to and from school, about a 3 mile drive, city driving, 25-30mph. Got back home in about 15 minutes and left the car idling for another 15 when my engine overheated, shooting antifreeze from out the reservoir. So I checked the fuses, sure enough, the cooling f...

what kind of air conditioner does my car have??
So I have a 1992 model, which would suggest that my car takes R12. But there is a Mazda dealer sticker on the inside of my driver side door that says the air conditioner was installed after the fact in 1999. So would this mean I have an air conditioner that takes R134a?? I can take pics under the ho...
