Torpedan, Synchromesh is a product, its a lubricant. A synchro is a synchronizer, as in a gear. The sentace makes no sense.
I know there's synchromesh lubricant but I'm pretty sure my sentence made sense... Our gearboxes are classified as synchromesh gearboxes, right? Meh who knows I might h...

Japesmooney,

If you know how to double clutch, try doing that. If the grinding stops when you double clutch, then it's most probably the syncro. That's also a cheap way of getting rid of the grinding, if you decide you don't wanna pay for the repairs.

torpedan,

I dunno what you mean by your comment (umm what). What's wrong with assuming it's the 1st/2nd syncro?
I have a question... Do you mean swapping a 1.6L DOHC miata head (B6ZE) onto a 1.6L MX3 block (BPE)? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm still kind of new to Mazdas. I would be VERY interested if I could swap a DOHC head onto my SOHC block too... I don't wanna do an engine swap because I've boug...

You could try doing a tune up; stuff like changing your spark plugs, fuel filter, i guess your air filter would be good, fuel injectors, and i dunno there's prolly stuff I'm forgetting too. If that stuff is all good, it might be a good idea to do a compression test. You might need a new head gasket,...

Thanks for the help guys...I didn't think drilling would be a good idea but I thought I'd at least ask. Where would I be able to find out how much of the flywheel I can take off? Last thing I'd want is to take too much off... Anyone happen to know of any light flywheels going for under $300-400? I k...

Everyone can ignore the lowering kit question. I've realized they're not as hard to find as I thought hehe. I would still like to know whether the MX6 springs would fit though.

Thanks

Flywheel...and suspension

I'm hopefully putting in my centerforce clutch this weekend (if it doesn't rain). I looked into light centerforce flywheels, but they cost way too much money for my liking. I want tips on how to lighten my current flywheel. I was thinking of machining it down more, and/or makin a few holes on the pa...

project mx316, I dunno where chino hills is, but if CA means you live in california, you might be in luck. From what I hear, wiseco makes really good pistons. I live in Ontario, where there is a Wiseco Distribution warehouse, and I know that buying straight from the warehouse in Ontario has saved my...

Thanks a lot Yoda, I'll call that machine shop and give them a try! I'm pretty sure I already tried Ontario salvage. They might have them but I'd have to drive down with my cams and try to match some up.

Anyways, thanks for the help!

Cam machining

Anyone know where I could get some cams machined (in Ontario)? It's not for my mx3 actually it's for my bike (V30 Magna) and the cams are worn out, but it's really expensive for new ones ($200 each and I need 4).

Thanks,
Boris
