my brother bought me an hid conversion kit for christmas (which i couldn't resist installing as soon as it came). so i figured i would give my two cents. the kit: i got it from an ebay merchant with really good feedback for $55 shipped. it came with two 5000k bulbs in sockets that had pos and neg cl...

Re: [WTB] Polk Momo Speakers
Just get a set of diamond hex 6.5s and call it a day. I had momos and hexs are hands-down better sounding. I have them the doors w the tweeters near the floor and a kicker 15 in the trunk with pheonix gold amps on both. If you read up you'll find a lot of people run high end components without rear ...

WTT: my vader sideskirts for mazdaspeed short skirts
i have a pair of extreme dimensions vader style skirts unpainted. looking to trade for corksport/mazdaspeed short skirts. ive been going back and forth with putting these on, but i want to stay with something more subtle than the traditional full-length skirt. BONUS: my friend's grandfather painted ...

Re: Creaking noises fron the hatch
i had this problem also.... mine sounded like someone bouncing on a bed with bad springs. turned out the latch was rubbing. to verify have someone sit in the back seat while it's doing it and put some pressure on the inside glass. if it goes away, that's probably the culprit. the solution: i had a c...

Re: lowered my car: eibach/tokicos -- some afterthoughts
wtf? $160????? The springs alone cost more than that.... and each strut. Who do you know and why are you not sharing with everyone else? they sprung up on ebay 2 or 3 weeks ago from a canadian auto parts recycler. the setup is used, so i was taking a risk, but after exchanging a few emails i was pr...

lowered my car: eibach/tokicos -- some afterthoughts
i just finished lowering my car a few days ago: eibach springs (1.5f/1.2r), tokico struts. i'll post some pics later today. my afterthoughts: the install: surprisingly easy. there's a write-up on here that is an awesome reference point. basically a set of jack stands, a 17mm and i believe a 14mm and...

Re: Aftermarket wheel

Re: Aftermarket wheel
just make sure you unplug the battery. my 93 didnt come with an airbag, but i think you might have to install a bypass resistor if you dont want the airbag light to come on. no big deal, but i dont think you can pass inspection with the light on. some other tips: rent a steering wheel remover, and i...

Re: MX-3 Lowering Springs or Coilovers
i'm actually in the middle of lowering my car as we speak. i think the bottom line is whatever you do... do it right. if you get a coilover kit, it's gonna be expensive if you do it right. groundcontrols go for like $400 and then you're probably gonna want to get new struts. i haven't looked into us...
