Re: AIR INDUCTION INFO NEEDED 96 MX3 in Ontario

Cheap parts would be rubber elbows / connectors intended for use with abs pipe. These are black and found in your local home depot.

Re: Fuel Consumption on the 4 cyl

So if cold air combusts better than warm air, shouldn't cars be capable of getting better gas mileage in cold weather? just trying to figure this thing out More oxygen/Litre of air when its cold. Therefore more gas consumed per litre or air and since your can consumes the same volume of air under a...

Re: B6DE tuning tips

I'm pretty sure thats out of production that they just didn't take it off the site, and no the sohc heads are different.

FYI that kit increases an 82hp motor by 15% (12.3hp) for $2000 so thats $162.60/hp! Very high $/hp ratio for a turbo kit!

Re: B6DE tuning tips

You want an idy bidy turbo like the factory 80's gtx unit to have good response and not be way over your max power level. Even a small turbo will make it feel super fast as it's biggest advantage is that you get way more torque way sooner!

Re: Fuel Consumption on the 4 cyl

I have a bpt and average 8.84l/100km in town boosting as much as I can. You should be getting about the same as I am (bpt is the same or slightly better on gas than my old 1.6).

Re: B6DE tuning tips

Well if you want a 1.6 turbo thats a bf car 1986-1989 and a 1.8 turbo is a bg 1990-1994. My 1.8 turbo was from a 93 bg gtx for example. 323 F BG1 90-94 this is a 3 door 323 hatch right? not a lantis or a 5 door version? Honestly I don't know if anyone over here will know those types of names (ie eur...

Re: B6DE tuning tips

If you know there are 323 gtx's whats the problem? What do you mean by name? I don't think you could be any more specific than saying "19xx Mazda 323 gtx" thats make model year and trim level. What else do they want?

Re: B6DE tuning tips

128hp + 25% = 160hp sound good? or 140hp + 25% = 175hp auto trans engines can be put in manual trans cars, it's pretty easy. The extra hp will be pricey if you can't do most work yourself. As far as my 155hp example thats a japan spec version of the motor so its only in japan and possibly australia....

Re: Engine cutting out in turns

I've read that there is a fix. on feoa they said its the pump moving and that securely zip tying the pump to the bracket (rather than depending on that factory rubber band) prevents the pump from moving and pinching the soft line in the tank. I had to cut my line shorter for my upgraded 3g rx7 pump ...
