Re: I wana see some moneyshots!

Dang! there are some awsome MX-3s out there. I've never seen half of these. Good thread. Alot of variance in the style. Not bad considering the limited aftermarket we have. :2thumbsup:

Re: Waxing Carbon Fiber Hoods?

Yeah wax is a must for the carbon fiber hoods and a polish is for looks only, it won't help protect from the elements.

Re: EGR Problem (code 16), cause of running rich?

A tune-up would defenately help. If you are running rich then you will burn up the spark plugs much faster than usual.

Re: Where were you

I was in a insurance continuing education class hosted by Zurich, there must have been a hundred agents in the class. I noticed that alot of people were leaving the room and congregating in the hallway while the instructer was talking. I got up to see what was going on and found all of them crowded ...

Re: Buying a MX-3, good deal??

A good way to check for body repair is to look at the joints between body panels. They should have a consistant even gap between them. If not then they have been removed and not replaced properly. Also many aftermarket body parts used by repair shops are not 100% straight, so they will not line up p...

Re: KLZE vs. KLDE - Practical Considerations

I see that alot of peple are saying that the ZE will have emission passing problems. However, I just pasted mine in July. The ZE got better numbers than my K8 ever got and I've owned the K8 since 33K miles. My ZE is running with out an EGR and has basic mods: intake, header, etc. As for which will l...

I don't think that you can turn to lock on 19s, or 18s for that matter. My 17x7.5s rub a bit at lock.

Re: Mx3 gs engine question??????

Oil consumption won't hurt an engine, but thicker oil will. Thicker oil burns less because it can't get through the gap in the seal (wherever it is) It also moves less due it's greater viscosity and due to viscosity less will get to the vavle train (furthest part that the oil pump to). An oil pump w...

Re: Engine Temperature MX3 GS?? PLS READ

Not to say your father is wrong, but if you remove the thermostat you will get worse performance from your motor. The heat actually helps the motor. Under hood temps can be lowered as described as above with out affecting the motors operating temp.

Re: cars killed

Evo and STI are almost exactly the same in 0-60 and 0-100 I thought. Meaning that they'd both be pretty hard to beat. I've got a prety powerful ZE and it couldn't handle a STI or a Evo. I've smoked a lightly modded RSX type S, and alot of other modded stuff, but an STI no way.

Re: What plugs need to be connected? Plus slave cyl problem

Hmm, not sure what you problems could be. But a simple fix would be to go and get the parts from a manual and put all of them on your ATX car. (Not just some of them) Wiring harness, ecu, tranny, slave cylinder, master cylinder, pedal assembly, hard lines for the slave cyl., Cork Sport clutch line, ...

Hate to be a prick, but you shouldn't have even attempted the swap if you know as little as you seem to.

Re: 2.5 swap .........won't start

as an after thought, if you don't know how to solder very well I'll give you a quick lesson. 1. allways use the proper wire size and type. Try to color match when possible to keep confusion to a minimum. 2. get some shrink wrap for wiring, use the proper size for the wire you are splicing (Home Depo...
