Given the fact is was over heating, surely its most likely to be burnt coolant no? I think there must be a bad leak, as about 1/4 of a litre came out in the space of less than a minute...

OK, I just filled it up with coolant and water and started her up again and it ran ok, but it squealed very loundly after about a minute... Cool, i will check that now....The day it happened and the heating broke it was very wet and I was driving through semi-floods.

Yeah, ive checked the front plugs and they're fine, I don't have the right socket to chekc the back ones, but don't see why they'd be more worn..!

The leads are a bit loose, but pretty sure thats not it...

Cool, so where do I go from here? Do I just get a new dizzy or is there a way I can test/fix it?

Recently the engine in my MX3 has been getting worse and worse and after a 300 mile drive on the weekend it is misfiring/spluttering all the time and sounds like an impreza!

Think it's definitely the CV joint after reading that.

Only thing is, it feels like its in such a bad state that it's going to snap and I have to get back home after work (9miles) not looking forward to it!!!

But I will have different aspect ratios on the front and back (50 on front tyres, 45 on back) This won't cause any problems?
