s ooo exhaust backpressure that also soaks up kv and limits rpm the catalytic converter is suspect. try un bolting the exhaust before the cat and see if it runs better and revs higher. the new and used distrubtor may both be junk recheck and tripple check all the connections made during the hei mod...

k8 is a k8 on any soil.
k8 rebiuld parts are rare. thats why most peaple opt to swap.

a kf swap will do if you are not looken for more power
a kl swap will bring nice power and a easy rebiuld down the road.

or have you freind source a used kl and rebiuld it.

no not on a mazda the is a relay by the ecm and the main relay under the hood.
fords have inerta switches mazdas do not.

dont throw to many parts at it you ay cause some new problems from bad in box new parts.

have you tested for spark?
compresson?
you smell fuel so you may have injector pluse. but still test it.

really it sounds like your igniter witch is part of the distrubtor.

this aint no honda forum. kl s make torque enuph torque not to need the extra mechanical advantage of lower gearing. the lower gear ratio amplifies the torgue so much you get lotts of wheelspin if you have a race preped car with lots of traction to he lower gear ratio would be the logical choice. b...

no not always if the seconary side fails the ecm wont set a code or even no wats up.
but it the primary side fails like the crank sensor than yes codes will be set.

distrubtor is the same from 95 n up probe & mx6

i will look at my shop for p1345 and c if hei will work.

but ecm gets the cam and crank signal first then tells igniter to fire so it your cam signal is dead than you dis is junk. i will look at my shop for p1345 and see if it is relivent.
