alldata at my shop lists 69 as coolant temp sensor problem for fan. i think thats the green connector buy the filler neck i think the black 1 is fro the ecm coolant temp sensor. so are your cooant fans working? i think this is a on off sensor so if it is out of range or dissconected than its probbab...

will the engine turn over at all? if not than it may have locked up from low oil level. if your oil pressure sender or oil cooler blew. the oil would soak the front header and smoke alot . if the engine turns but sounds uneven or eratic than it may be head gaskets. this may be a case of a small leak...

well yes you are correct most mazda coolant gauges read 1/2 mark is normal temp. ither you engine is running alittle hot. or your gauge is in accurate. if you have an infered temp gun than you can test your gauge. im pretty shure 1/2 mark is around 200f. if you dont than replace the temp sender if y...
