Well for one the KL-36 ECU will not operated the EGR. Also what EGR are you using( Millenia or K8 )?? There is a difference, Millenia is on the intake manifold, and K8, KLDE are located on the block. Sounds like an ignition module!! I had one go out that way. It sounded like major top end knocking and taping and then.....Hwy and stalled out. Start thinking anout an HEI conversion b4 it happens. I'm loosing my mind. I have a plain jane v6 K8 and for the past week have been gettin a bad motor noise and vibriation while the car is at Idle and when going down the road the noise is noticiable and so is the vibration. but mostly at Idle it's not a knock,it sounds as thou.it's cammed and it aint....
