thanks, i tried timing it soo much last time i tried that i got pissed and quit working on it, then the next weekend (saturday april 5) i timed it once and got it right. i ended up having to replace the starter where it wouldnt turn the car over fast enough. runs great now.

thanks, the closest i have been able to get it was still a tooth off. they should have put the pin holes in the cams where you drop retainer pins in, slip the belt on and pull the pins back out. was that too much to ask? :wink: thanks for the information, i am working on it this weekend, so i will k...

thanks, any insight on the timing marks, it is driving me crazy, i must have tried timing it 5 times. seems like a lot of room for error with such a larger area for those marks to point at. the book didnt seem to be much help as far as whether to use the line mark or the letter mark on the gear. and...
