It was pretty nuts. I was working the course when it happened, right in front of the finish, so I had like a front row seat to the accident. That Celica was facing the opposite direction about 50 feet away before it got hit.

Is it just me, or have Mx3s doubled in price? I paid 2k for my SE with 120k on the odom, and in really good condition. And I paid 800 bucks for my white one. Now I'm seeing Mx3s in much worse condition going for 3500-4000. What gives?

Some guy has a racing MX3 shell on ebay..i snagged it. got the hatch and hood for 200. i think i weighed the factory hatch at just under 85 pounds or so...the one i got weighs 25 pounds...and my hood is soo light i dont even think it weighs 10 pounds. :x Doh, I want those parts sooo bad!! You never did tell us how many miles were on the car. That might have something to do with it. If the car was 700 bucks because it had 50 million lightyears on it, the rad leaked, and the tranny was full of sawdust, then you'll be hard pressed to get simpathy from anyone.
