1995 Mazda MX-3Car And Driver Buyers Guide:

This slinky-looking car is endowed with one thing you
don't expect to find in a little coupe: You can fit adult humans in the rear seat
area. They will not be in pain, either. The MX-3 is a fun coupe to drive on the
most demanding of twisty roads and on long trips. The output of its engine is
only 105 horsepower, which hardly puts it in muscle-car territory. But it looks,
handles, and feels like a larger, more expensive coupe. Unfortunately, the 1995
MX-3 lineup lost what we considered its main attraction, the tiny aluminum V-6
that powered the now-discontinued GS model. Even though the V6 ran so well that
it made the MX-3 feel twice its size, apparently few people bought it. Now all
you can get is the engine that was the base motor, a DOHC, 105-horsepower
1.6-liter. It's not a disappointment, since so-equipped the MX-3 gives comparable
Civics a run for the money.
