what is the speed difference between a auto and a 5 speed? i mean taking 2 stock mx-3's how much better speed/performance/1/4 time would the manual have over the auto?

i don't know technical stuff but it really makes a huge difference. i went from a 92 mx-3 gs auto to a 93 escort gt manual. i've raced an auto mx-3 V6 and burnt him badly beating him by like 3 car lengths, and raced a manual mx-3 V6 and only beat him by like half a car length. get the manual, you will love it it's so much more fun. plus, the auto tranny's in the mx-3 sucks major a--. mine blew at 34,000 miles which is ridiculous! cost $1,200 to rebuild that sunovabitch!<p>[ November 29, 2001: Message edited by: finchuck ]
