Retrieving Codes from KL36 ECU

I would assume that it would be the same as any other Mazda, or any other car, out there from the early nineties, however, this one is given me some trouble.

When I jump TEN to GND, and either GND, the CEL does not flash, does not illuminate. It does, however, turn the cooling fan on. Is there a separate jump that I should be using to get the codes out? I have never come across this kind of problem in any shape or form for any other vehicle.

Chances are I don't, but it would complete the fan circuit anyway? Seems a bit odd.

a misadjusted TPS would. You need to adjust the TPS anyways.

Since you got that whacked Throttle stop screw, you're going to have to adjust the TPS, then adjust the timing, then adjust the idle air screw, then adjust the throttle stop screw. THat will throw the TPS out of whack again, so you'll have to readjust the TPS, then the timing, then the idle air screw, then the throttle stop screw. AGAIN.

Guess what that's going to do? MESS WITH YOUR TPS.
So you're going to have to readjust the TPS, then the timing, then the idle air screw, then the throttle stop screw.

DO you have to do it again?

PROBABLY.

Until you're at the right RPM, at the right timing, at the right TPS measurements.
