KLZE rebuild

Post by mazdaspeed23 »

Hey guys,

Been searching around for the last couple of days and wasn't able to find information that im looking for as a brake down so im hoping I can get some luck here.

I'm going to start rebuilding my extra ZE within the next week or so. But before I do I want to get some info on what parts are interchangeable for the ZE, and what is recommended. I'm talking about crankshaft( SCAT), camshafts(COMP CAMS), pistons (ROSS RACING PISTONS), connecting rods etc. I seen a couple of posts on the net that some people have put in Colt cams, however I haven't been able to find any. Are any of these companies parts able to fit in the ZE or has anyone tried? Also looking to port, polish etc. I've been reading the information on xtremethings it tells you everything expect one thing that would be nice to know, the Combustion Chamber Volume anyone know what the ze is?

There is really a lot of information out there.

I think if you'd spend a bit of time searching through google, or the search function on this board you'd end up with answers to your questions.

Contact John Proulx on facebook. He has a lot of knowledge on ZE/DE engine rebuild and lives in Ontario so he may have suggestions for part suppliers.
