1" or bigger Master Cylinder?

Post by gerald_23 »

I'm looking to do a full on brake upgrade over the winter and I would like to look into a new master cylinder. The Mx-6 Master Cylinder looks longer but the diameter is the same. Does anyone know of any other options?

The Millenia master has a 1" piston, but the ports are on the other side and the length of the push rod and stuff are different. I have been planning on making it work when I do the refurb on the Black Beast, but it's not plug and play at all.

You will have to rebend your brake lines so they would bolt up on the other side of master cylinder.

929 1" master on an RS booster will work. should be plug and play.

I am with Wytbishop on my milly 1" master convo on the GS. I have not played with it enough yet to install it, but have noticed the reservoir will need to be swapped to the GS one also, as it sits at a funny angle in the milly.

I installed the milli master. It is a bit of a pain tho. You reuse the old reservoir. You have to trim some of the housing from one of the sides to fit the mounting bolt. Take the banjo fittings off, bend the lines(carefully) to the other side of the master and screw the lines in directly. That's pretty much it. Now that I read what I wrote down, it doesn't seem very complicated, LOL.

Okay, I finally got to them, while trying to figure out why shes not starting....

Here is the lines re-routed to the other side, I shoulda got a picture of more of the line, but all I did was carefully bend them.

Here is the pass. side area where I cut.
