car quit today car was running vary well pulled over made a call to the wife then pulled out and car stalled like it had no gas bit there was gas there and gas to the injectors now just turns over engin is klze

Id start there too. Once you verify that you don't have spark, pull the cap off the distributor and make sure it is actually moving when the motor is cranked. If it is moving, the timing belt is good. If it isn't moving, timing belt is broken.

It would be easier to just look through the oil filler cap to see if cams are rotating to verify timing belt assuming you have someone to crank over the engine.

I was just working on it and yes I got no spark timing belt rotates how you know that it's a distributor check cap rotor

Good news is your disty is a commonly found part at the wreckers. Ford Probes, MX-6 and 626 have your disty last number can be 1 or 2. Happy picking or refer to my link.

Did you jumper TEN and Gnd in the diagnostics box before trying to set the timing?
